I started my business when my children were very young ( 7 years & 1 year old ) so they would have children to play with during the day & I could be home when the oldest came home from school. I planned on running my daycare till my youngest was old enough to go to school but decided when the time came to keep it open. I found that I loved take care & working with children and still do after 25 years.
I have a basic structure for them which allows free play, crafts, projects, outdoor play, walks in the neighborhood, reading, drama play, dress up, free style creativity with playdough, painting, drawing, etc. We also have music time & story time. Activities are modified for each age group. We also work with numbers, letters, shapes, etc on a daily basis.
I belong to Bethel Child Care Services which offers my training classes, CPR & 1st AID, networking, CDA class, support. I am also signed on with Provider Resources Inc.
